The Birth of an Artist

There will be Jazz & R&B musical entertainment, refreshments, wine & beer by donation, and lots of artwork for sale by our emerging C4K artists.

Cutwell 4 Kids, founded by local pop artist Anthony Tidwell, provides free art classes each summer through our Birth of an Artist program to children and adults in our community.

Using art activities to create a safe space, C4K encourages children to develop an understanding of themselves and the world around them. It nurtures their confidence and self-expression – while developing art skills. Art sessions are geared toward exploring social & cultural issues, ideas & concepts, and even opinions. These art sessions provide an opportunity to explore and develop critical thinking skills.

At the end of each Summer program, we host the Birth of an Artist Art Sale & Fundraiser to showcase and sell artwork created by C4K artists to raise much-needed funds for next year’s program.
