Who is Anthony Tidwell?

I am a native of Hot Springs. I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in General Studies with a minor in Early Childhood Education from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville in 2007. In 2012, I received training and certification as a Mental Health Para-Professional while working with Birch Tree Communities. I have also worked as an assistant basketball coach at Morrilton High School and have been volunteering for the South Conway County School District for over 10 years.

Birth of an Artist: Emergent Arts in Hot Springs hosts fundraiser for Cutwell 4 Kids

HOT SPRINGS — Student artwork lined the walls and the sound of jazz music filled Emergent Arts on Aug. 11 at Birth of an Artist, the fifth annual fundraiser for Cutwell 4 Kids.

Over 150 guests filled the gallery and studio spaces as they perused the artwork and listened to music by students.

Hot Springs artist receives Governor’s Arts Award

Anthony Tidwell, 47, is a barber by day but an artist and mentor at all times.

His work in teaching art to young people in his hometown of Hot Springs has resulted in special recognition from the Arkansas Arts Council’s Governor’s Arts Awards program. He is the recipient of the 2019 Judges Recognition Award and will be honored, along with other recipients, at a ceremony in the spring.
